Jeffsky Poincy

Jeffsky Poincy

Founder & Lead Policy Analyst

Born and raised in Haiti and based in Washington, DC, Jeffsky Poincy is a policy and governance practitioner. His professional experience in Haiti includes roles within the Haitian public administration, private sector, and international development. In Washington, he has worked closely with Haitian civil society organizations, supporting their engagement with U.S. policymakers and international partners on governance and accountability.

Beyond Haiti, his experience includes governance and peacebuilding work across West Africa and Western Europe. At Haiti Briefing, he leads the organization’s strategic and policy direction, shapes its analytical agenda, and engages policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders on Haiti’s governance and political dynamics.

He holds a Master of Public Policy from Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy and speaks Haitian Creole, French, English, and Russian.

Shayane Dalencourt-Simon

Shayane Dalencourt-Simon

Policy Engagement & Communications Associate

Shayane Dalencourt-Simon is a Haitian-American policy and advocacy professional with experience in Congress, human rights, and Haiti-focused policy.

At Haiti Briefing, she supports congressional outreach, policy engagement, and communications, helping strengthen the organization’s engagement with policymakers and broader policy audiences. She previously worked in the office of U.S. Senator Edward J. Markey and served as a Haiti Advocacy Fellow at Amnesty International USA, where she conducted policy research and engaged with U.S. policymakers and Haitian civil society organizations.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Emmanuel College.

Christian Labossiere

Christian Labossiere

Contributing Editor

Christian Labossiere is a Haitian-American international affairs and peacebuilding practitioner with experience in research, policy analysis, and conflict transformation.

At Haiti Briefing, they serve as Contributing Editor, supporting the development of the platform’s editorial standards and contributing to the review of its analysis and policy products.

Christian is an Adjunct Lecturer at Georgetown University. They hold a Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Florida State University.
